Tango Argentino meets Classic ! Le compositeur argentin Martín Palmeri, dont le Misatango est connu et aimé par de nombreux chœurs, met en musique le 127e psaume Nisi Dominus pour soprano solo et chœur mixte, accompagné d’un bandonéon, de cordes et d’un piano. Il y intègre les caractéristiques et le langage musical du tango traditionnel, ce qui ne l’empêche pas d’écrire une fugue…
L’œuvre a été commandée pour le 50e anniversaire de Carus et la première a eu lieu le 24 juin 2022 lors du festival de musique ION à Nuremberg.

| 1965Martín Palmeri (born 1965 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine composer and conductor. His works, including operas, oratorios, choral and orchestral compositions, are inspired by the Tango Nuevo in their form and harmony. His most famous work the "Misatango" (Misa a Buenos Aires) was the opening piece for the 2013 International Festival of Sacred Music and Art in Rome and is performed by choirs worldwide.
