chorissimo! - Singing in the school
chorissimo! - the series of choral books for school, supports everyone who wants to sing with joy with children and young people. chorissimo! was conceived by experts for school singing. With chorissimo!, the singing and musical qualities of young people can be developed in three successive volumes (green - blue - orange). chorissimo! can be applied in music lessons, in school choirs, children's choirs and youth choirs. chorissimo! Singen mit Kita-Kindern (singing with children in day-care center, website only in german) complements the successful chorissimo! series. This makes singing fun! In some German states, chorissimo! is approved as a school manual.
chorissimo! was developed by the Landesmusikakademie Ochsenhausen and is published in cooperation with the Bundesverband Musikunterricht in Germany. The editors are Dr. Klaus K. Weigele, Christine Wetzel and Klaus Brecht.

For the age range of 0 to 7 years. This volume offers comprehensive material for teachers and educators to sing with the youngest children. Stories are told with playful sounds and the commonly singing of songs. For this purpose, 56 songs on various topics and occasions are available in this volume.

For the age range of 10 to 16 years. Children and adolescents at this age already have advanced musical capabilities, so that the musical spectrum of possible musical activities can be expanded. "blue" offers extensive material for homophonic voices to develop polyphonic singing step by step, based on a stable unison. The styles range from songs and classical choral pieces to pop songs.

For the age range of 13 to 19 years. In this age group, the male voice is added as a facet of singing. "orange" offers a versatile repertoire from classical music to pop music for choirs and ensembles with a male voice. In workshops, new genres as beatboxing, body percussion and theater in combination with chant, will be introduced and motivate the students for further education.
