Australian folk music, like most folk music around the world, is a vehicle for storytelling. Many nights were spent around a campfire singing songs and telling tales of legendary figures who roamed Australia’s wild bush. Jack Duggan was one such historic figure. The arrangement captures the Irish roots of this style, while still retaining the colloquial character of Australian language and bush poetry.
